Use the tool on the [web page](https://petcremation.fyi/tools/pet-cremation-cost-estimator). It works without JavaScript.

7. Read the result.

## How it works

The reference fee figures are the published price list of The Pet Crematoria (thepetcrematoria.co.uk/price-list), 'Prices correct as of 11th May 2026 and inclusive of a fuel surcharge'. Individual cremation returns the ashes in a scatter tube; communal cremation returns no ashes.

Fees differ widely between crematories, cities and countries, so treat this estimate as a rough bracket, not a quote. Your provider's own price list is the figure that counts.

Urn, collection and witnessed-service fees are typed in by you from the provider's quote. A private cremation usually returns the ashes in a standard container; keepsakes, plaques and paw prints are extra.

Weight bands follow the reference list: under 10 kg, 10 to 24.9 kg, 25 to 39.9 kg, and 40 kg and over for dogs. Cat, rabbit and small-animal fees are flat in the reference list.

For a same-day collection outside office hours, or for horses and other large animals, providers price by quote; call the crematory directly.

> An estimate, not a quote and not veterinary or financial advice. The reference figures come from one published UK price list dated May 2026; confirm every figure with the crematory you choose.

## Questions

### What is the difference between private and communal cremation?

In a private cremation your pet is the only animal in the chamber and you receive the ashes back. In a communal cremation several pets are cremated together, which costs less, but no ashes are returned.

### Why does pet cremation cost more for a heavier pet?

Larger pets take longer in the chamber and use more fuel, so most crematoria publish fees by weight band. Ask the crematory for its bands, because the cut-off weights differ between providers.

### Is collection from home or the vet practice included?

Usually not: most providers charge a separate collection or pickup fee, and out-of-hours collection costs more. Enter the figure from your provider's quote in the extras fields.

### What else may appear on the bill?

Common extras are urns, caskets, paw prints and keepsake jewellery, a witnessed cremation fee, and after-hours or same-day collection. If your pet died at a vet practice, the practice may also charge a handling fee.

> **Not veterinary advice.** PetCremation lists pet crematories and the services and fee information they publish. It is not veterinary, legal or financial advice, and a listing is not a recommendation. Addresses, phone numbers and fee figures come from the sources named on each listing and were last checked on the date shown there; fees change, so confirm every figure with the provider before you decide.
